Featured below is the dragon dance, just what you'd expect at a festival in Chinatown, SF. Old Chinese culture persists in this neighborhood, oblivious to the tsunami of modernization engulfing mainland China. The entire stretch of Grant St.is a concentration of cultural cliches: paper fans,red lanterns, jade jewelry, swords, lucky bamboos. Old world, but interesting.
